Wellons has designed, manufactured, and installed hundreds of biomass boiler systems for small applications requiring process steam as well as large systems such as electrical generation and co-generation. ASME certified Package, Panel, and Field-Erected boiler systems of Wellons’ design are available, depending on the capacity, pressure, and steam temperature requirements of the customer.

In addition to our engineering and manufacturing capabilities, Wellons also offers installation of our systems in the USA, and technical assistance with installation and commissioning for our international projects.

1-Drum Top-Supported Spreader-Stoker Vibrating-Grate 350,000-PPH

Two-Drum Top Supported Boilers

Our two-drum open bottom boiler design includes single gas pass, water-cooled membrane wall furnace with natural circulation, with a maximum design pressure of 1,800 psig.

Multiple combustor configurations are available including reciprocating step-grates, spreader stoker, vibrating or traveling, or suspension burners. These furnaces can co-fire with solid fuel suspension and oil/gas as well. These boiler and furnace configurations satisfy the industrial boiler market being capable of burning a variety of agri-fuel including poultry litter.

Single-Drum Top-Supported Boilers

Our single-drum top-supported boiler designs include completely welded water-cooled membrane water wall furnaces and modular tube bundle superheater and generating sections with a maximum design pressure up to 1,800 psig. Multiple solid-fuel combustor types are available depending on specific fuel characteristics and air emission limits including spreader stokers (vibrating or traveling) or suspension burners. These furnaces can co-fire a mix of solid fuels on the grate along with dry solid-fuel suspension fired burners and auxiliary burners firing oil/gas as well. These boiler and furnace configurations satisfy the large industrial and small central power generation station boiler market being capable of burning a variety of biomass solid-fuels, agri-fuels including poultry litter.

Field Erected Boilers

Our field-erected boilers, designed to be fired by a multiple Wellons cell furnace system, provides greater steam flow, higher pressure, and the higher temperatures needed for power plants and other operations requiring large steam capacities.

Package Boilers

The package boiler combines firetube and watertube designs in a completely factory assembled unit. This philosophy is also applied to the boiler support equipment where components are combined in shop-assembled modules. The package design provides for a minimum of field assembly for processes with relatively small steam requirements.

Panel Boilers

Our panel boiler is engineered for factory pre-assembly of major components to reduce installation time. The design is specifically tailored for compatibility with the Wellons cell furnace, assuring optimum system performance.
